Private Seller artwork purchases

A Private Seller declares that the sale is outside their trade, business, craft or profession. Goods bought online from a genuine private individual generally do not include the standard EU 14-day consumer right of withdrawal.

Sorisomun's 2-hour direct cancellation window and Buyer Protection for qualifying order problems still apply. Any mandatory right that applies under the actual legal status of the Seller remains unaffected.

Professional Seller artwork purchases

A Professional Seller sells as part of their trade, business, craft or profession and must complete Sorisomun's Professional Seller verification before Professional checkout is enabled.

For an online consumer purchase from a Professional Seller, applicable trader-to-consumer rights apply. This generally includes a 14-day statutory withdrawal period after receiving the artwork, unless a legal exception applies. The Order Room provides a withdrawal function for eligible Professional Seller purchases.

For a valid statutory withdrawal after delivery, Sorisomun processes the applicable reimbursement through the original payment flow. The refundable amount follows mandatory law and can include standard outbound delivery. Where disclosed before purchase, you may have to pay the direct cost of returning the artwork to the Professional Seller.

Sorisomun's separate 2-day delivery review does not remove or shorten that statutory withdrawal right. Professional Seller payout remains on hold while the statutory withdrawal period or an active withdrawal is still blocking release. Sorisomun Care does not create this legal right; it is a separate marketplace Buyer-support and protection fee.

Official Sorisomun merchandise

Official Sorisomun merchandise is sold directly by Sorisomun rather than by a marketplace Seller. Trader-to-consumer rules therefore apply. Where the statutory withdrawal right applies, consumers may generally withdraw from an online merchandise purchase within 14 days after receiving the goods.

Faulty, damaged, incorrect or non-conforming merchandise is covered by mandatory consumer remedies. The artwork marketplace's 2-hour cancellation window, 2-day delivery review period and Sorisomun Care fee do not replace those statutory merchandise rights.

Shipping

For marketplace artworks, shipping costs are paid by the Buyer at checkout. The displayed shipping price combines the carrier amount and a fixed €0.30 Sorisomun shipping-handling amount for arranging the shipment through our shipping provider.

The applicable shipping price is shown before the Buyer confirms the order. This amount may vary depending on the delivery method, destination, package size, weight, and available carrier service.

Refund treatment depends on the reason and applicable law. Sorisomun's full-cancellation and full Buyer Protection resolutions return the full original marketplace payment. A valid full Professional Seller statutory withdrawal also follows the mandatory reimbursement rules; the direct return-shipping cost may remain yours where properly disclosed. Any back-office allocation of carrier costs between Sorisomun and the Seller does not reduce the Buyer refund that is due.

Protection

Qualifying artwork delivery issues should be reported within 2 days after delivery for the Sorisomun claim process. Sorisomun may request photographs, packaging evidence, tracking information and other relevant documentation. This platform reporting period does not remove or shorten any mandatory legal right that may apply.

A Sorisomun Care fee equal to 5% of the artwork price is charged to the Buyer. It supports secure payment handling, Buyer assistance, and the Sorisomun Buyer Protection process for marketplace artwork purchases. A full approved Buyer Protection refund includes Sorisomun Care and the original marketplace shipping payment.
